FThe season is the best season and Zangersheide has the privilege to judge a large number of foals from our dedicated breeders each year. Some of these foals are selected by the expert team of Zangersheide for the renowned Zangersheide Foal Auctions!

The collection consists of exceptionally well-bred and striking foals by leading show jumping stallions such as Chacco Blue, For Pleasure, Comme Il Faut, Comilfo Plus Z and Kashmir van Schuttershof combined with prestigious show jumping families and great expectations for the future!

There is even an Olympic touch to the collection, with foals sired by Olympic stallions, including a striking colt by Cumano out of Aachen Nations Cup winner Dalila de la Pomme, Uricas van de Kattevennen out of the famous Usha van ‘t Roosakker dynasty and dam lines of Olympic horses such as Niels Bruynseels’ Tokyo Olympic partner and LGCT Grand Prix winner Delux van T&L, Emerald and the legendary Ratina Z!

Let’s take a look at some highlights from this star-studded collection!

Checkmate himself is a half-brother of the approved stallion Important Style VK (1.50m Loewie Joppen), Floyd W (1.45m Callie Smith) and related to no less than 9 approved stallions!

1st dam, Charlotte Z, is a half-sister to the 1.60m Grand Prix horses Van Dutch (Giulia Levi) and Bertram Allen’s former 5* 1.60m Grand Prix horse Dino W.

Second dam, Life Style Z, produced 8 international show jumping horses and is bred from the full sister of Renommee Z (1.60m Ricardo Kierkegard) and the world famous Olympic mare Ratina Z!

A graceful mare by Comilfo Plus Z, whose offspring is designed for modern top sport, as we see in his son Landon (Crack de Nyze Z)! Together with Kent Farrington, Landon achieved multiple CSI5* Grand Prix podium places, Team Gold and individual silver at the 2023 Pan American Games.

Cassiopeia’s dam, Chine d’Esquelmes, is the sister of the 1.60m show jumpers Oxford d’Esquelmes and Conrad d’Esquelmes Z. Her three eldest sisters have all produced international sport horses and 1.60m show jumpers, illustrating the exceptional hereditary quality of this successful dam line.

Cinderella is bred from a sister of Q Royal Palm Z who performed at CSI5* 1.50m level under Eiken Sato, Jonna Ekberg and Rodrigo Pessoa.

Second dam, Collezione Cesaro La Perla, achieved great successes at the highest level with Rob Eras and together they placed at 1.60m level, Nation Cups and World Cup qualifications! In 2001 they won with the Dutch team the Samsung Nations Cup final and in 2003 they won the Grand Prix in Modena.

A beautiful half-brother to Marit Skollerud’s 1.65m performing 2022 FEI World Championships partner Nelson van ‘t Roosakker and full brother to Ioli Mytilineou’s 9-year-old rising star Por Favor van ‘t Roosakker (1.45m)

Fahrenheits’ dam, Imke van ‘t Roosakker, performed internationally at 1.45m level under Frank Schuttert and Therese Søhol Henriksen and is a half-sister of Kent Farrington’s 5* Grand Prix mare Kaprice and Zangersheide’s powerful stallion Kassander van ‘t Roosakker Z.

Grandmother is the legendary 1.60m mare Electra van ‘t Roosakker.

Insurance at no extra cost!

The foals have undergone extensive veterinary examinations and as a service to customers they are insured for the sales price for up to 10 days after birth, at no extra cost.
