Suicide Awareness Ride Raises Money for Veterans’ Mental Health

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Harley Davidson of Fort Wayne and FW22 are teaming up to raise money for the veteran community with their Suicide Awareness Ride.

Saturday’s event will be led by The Freedom Riders of Indiana Chapter 1, who will ride with participants through Summit City.


Local nonprofit FW22 raises funds and awareness for veterans struggling with post-traumatic stress disorder and traumatic brain injury. According to the FW22 website, the organization also works to educate on veteran suicide prevention and mental health.

King Arthur’s, Rudy’s and The Omelet Bar will be vendors at the Suicide Awareness Ride. Wallen Road will be playing at the event from 12pm to 4pm.

Ride registration is Saturday from 9:00 to 10:00. Riders depart at 12:00. Admission is $25 per bike and $10 per passenger.
