Amarnath Yatra: New batch of devotees heads to Shrine; security tightened

Srinagar: On Sunday morning, another group of pilgrims left from Panthachowk base camp Srinagar for the Amarnath yatra amid tight security.

The pilgrims make their way to the holy site, heading towards the base camps of the Baltal and Pahalgam Yatras, where they reconnect with their faith and seek blessings.

The Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board organizes the Amarnath Yatra, which is divided into two routes: one via Pahalgam and the other via Baltal.

This year the Yatra started on 29th June and ends on 19th August. The journey will take 52 days. (with inputs from the Agency)
