Turkish intelligence ‘neutralizes’ local leader of PKK/KCK terror group in northern Iraq

According to security sources, Turkey’s National Intelligence Service (MIT) has “neutralized” the so-called “Sulaymaniyah official” of the PKK/KCK terror group during an operation in neighboring northern Iraq.

Omer Firat, codename Tolhildan, was identified as being in Sulaymaniyah along with Iranian nationals Irfan Zendi, codename “Raman Renas”, and Hidayet Resuli, codename Cengaver Mikayil.

They were ‘neutralized’ by an air operation carried out by MIT.

Security sources stated that as a result of operations carried out by the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) in northern Iraq, PKK/KCK members withdrew to Sulaymaniyah, which the terror group considered a safe zone.

According to the sources, the Sulaymaniyah countryside can no longer be considered a safe zone for the terrorist group.

Meanwhile, Turkish security forces have “neutralized” three PKK/YPG terrorists, the Turkish Defense Ministry said on Wednesday.

Three PKK/YPG terrorists were “neutralized” in the Euphrates Shield area of ​​operations, the ministry said on X.
