Elon Baseball wins ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award

Elon, NC- The American Baseball Coaches Association recognized Elon Baseball on Wednesday with the ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award. Elon Baseball finished the spring semester with a 3.100 GPA and its fourth straight semester with a grade point average of at least 3.0.

“Very proud of our boys and their efforts in the classroom,” said head coach Mike Kennedy. This award is a direct reflection of the quality of our students and their dedication to academic success.”

The American Baseball Coaches Association has a long tradition of recognizing the achievements of baseball coaches and student-athletes. ABCA/Rawlings All-America Teams are the oldest teams in the country, founded in 1949, and the ABCAThe prize program also includes the ABCA/Rawlings All-Region Awards, the ABCA/ATEC Regional and National Coaches of the Year and several other important awards such as the ABCA Hall of Fame and the Dave Keilitz Ethics in Coaching Award.
